Attention students

I have two very important announcements regarding speeches.

1. Make sure that you are ready on the day you are expected to give your speech!!! I should not have to remind you of this and those of you who are not ready are at the mercy of the class time as far as being able to give your speech at all. I cannot guarantee that late speeches will even be able to be given resulting in a zero for the assignment.

2. We are all adults here. I expect that you will all show eachother and myself respect during your presentations. I do not want any of the following to come up in your speech in any way or else your grade will likely result in a zero for the speech.

- swearing or foul language of any kind
- pictures depicting genitals in the name of science or otherwise
- any reference, inference or suggestion of illegal action on your part or the parts of individuals in the class. I expect any mention of illegal action to be cited and supported by scholarly evidence if necessary to your speech.
- racially or gender based innappropriateness especially in your language

If you have any questions, see me prior to your speech!!!

If you have any materials that are the least bit graphic, please let me know ahead of time and the class must be warned!!!!!!!

Keep in mind...

1. You have the right to a safe classroom environment, You have the responsibility to contribute to the safety of the classroom.

2. You have the right to be heard, You have the responsibility to speak with reason and credibility.

3. You have the right to be respected for your views, You have the responsibility to show respect for others.
